The Goatsbeard Globe

A goatsbeard seed head is built to travel. Each seed carries its own parachute of fine filaments, shaped to lift it away from the rest. Whole fields grow from seeds that blew in and took root where they fell. This one is caught just as it was before the wind, not one seed yet gone.

Hand-cast in South Wales, in clear resin with a built-in UV filter to slow fading. 3.5 in diameter, about 14.4 oz. No two seed heads are alike.
