The Magdala Rosette

The rosette comes from Magdala, on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, the home of Mary Magdalene, who is remembered as the first to see Christ risen. What is easy to forget is how she came to be there: found at her lowest, chosen while she was still broken, and standing at the empty tomb in tears when she heard him say her name, the one word that told her she had not lost everything after all.
