The Trinity Cross

These crosses are shaped by hand in Chelsea, Alabama, by women starting over from homelessness and from homes that were not safe. A cross is the symbol of a love that went through the worst and came back, and they are the ones making it. The pattern on the clay is a piece of lace pressed into the wet surface, and the imprint stays after the lace is lifted away.
