This Must Be the Place

When David Byrne of the Talking Heads set out to write a love song, he found he could only do it sideways, in fragments, never quite saying the thing outright. What he landed on was a man standing in a doorway, almost ready to believe he had found where he belonged, saying not this is the place but this must be. It is the small word "must" that captures someone hoping they have finally come home and letting themselves trust it.
